Adey Chaplin is a graphic and web designer who studies at George Mason University. Her first love has always been photography, especially portraits. You can find some of her work at www.adeychaplin.com, and you can find some of her musings on photography, art, design and anything else at her blog.
The series of work shown here was taken in a nursing home that Adey had volunteered at for several years. Bringing a probing sociological approach to the home and the residents, she hoped to shed light on a part of society that is often out of sight and make a comment on the fleeting nature of physical life but the durability of a soul.
